Noel Thomas O'Reilly commenced trading as an accountant in 1934. Since then the accountancy business has evolved into a partnership trading from five offices with over fifty staff. In 1993 a financial services department was established with one adviser offering advice primarily from our Carlisle and Penrith offices.
Over the last few years the financial advice department has grown substantially and now together with its 'sister business' - Yoredale Investment Services Ltd - employs 12 members of staff who are managed by Lee Watson.
The growth within the department meant financial services was becoming more than an 'incidental' part of the accountancy practice. Our professional advisers felt the time was right in 2008 to separate the financial services department from the main accountancy practice. This has led to the creation of O'Reilly Financial Services LLP.
We are at pains to mention the new business is still owned and managed by the current partners of O'Reilly Chartered Accountants. The new firm will continue to treat our customers fairly and provide similar service levels as offered prior to the separation.
